RR Medan
Regional Representative Medan made a mini gathering after Eid holiday on 22nd july 2015 at Biro Rektor USU Park. The participants of this meeting were 4 alumni and 3 grantees from USU and Unimed. The results of the meeting are Olanda as chairperson of RR Medan was replaced with Muhammad Zahrawi (Alumni from USU). Desy Monica and Yohana Marisza were chosen as a secretary and treasure.
Then, RR Medan plan to make an environmental care campaign in Biro Rektor USU Park because many visitors littering there. These phenomena motivated them to make an environmental care campaign there it’s important to show a sense of caring to the environment. They believe these concerns can be shown with a small act but useful.
RR Medan also discusses to organize a mini campaign about media communication for students. Increasingly sophisticated communication media with smartphone technology in fact also have a negative effect. Smartphone users are often not smart. It motivates RR Medan to create a mini campaign about the role of the communications media for students. Students chosen as an object because RR Medan thinks, it’s important to educate students to be wise and smart as the younger generation who will be future leaders. Olanda alumna from Unimed invited to start this activity at Raksana Vocational High School, the school where she taught. The hope this event will be held at various schools in Medan as a social activity, which give a sustainable effect for student and community.
On 8th August 2015 RR Medan held environmental care campaign in USU. The participants were 4 alumni and grantees from USU and Unimed. They hope their actions can invite visitors to care about the environment and not to litter again. After that they returned to discuss the preparation of mini campaign about media communication in Raksana Vocational High School. They hope this activity can be carried out as planned.
