Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is not an uncommon test for university students nowadays. It is included as a requirement for instance in a job vacancy, scholarship application, and one of the graduation requirements. The graduation requirement one is now being applied by Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin. Every student who graduates from Lambung Mangkurat University must provide the TOEFL certificate to complete the graduation application and take their S1 certificate. This, then, bases the internal activity of VDMS RR Banjarmasin to hold so-called a training-and-sharing session for grantees in Banjarmasin.
First meeting, November 27th 2016
This TOEFL Training and Sharing is a monthly meeting and sharing for VDMS alumni and grantees. The alumni need it to enrich their English while the grantees need TOEFL as a requirement to take their S1 certificate. The first meeting was done on November 27th 2016 and the second meeting was held on December 4th 2016 located at Taman Bougenville Banjarbaru. Next meeting will be held next month on January.
Second meeting, December 4th 2016
The result of this TOEFL training and sharing was satisfying. Despite few grantees who came up, the confessed that this training-and-sharing was great. Among three grantees who joined, it was only one of them who know what TOEFL is. Others were glad to get involve, know, and test their English ability.
