On April 29, VDMI alumni and grantees in Banjarmasin iftar with orphans at Asrama Yatim and Dhuafa, Jl. Sutan Adam RT 17 no. 9, Sungai Miai, Banjarmasin Utara. Started at 17:30 WITA, the event opened with a speech from the manager of Asrama Yatim and Dhuafa followed by a greeting speech from RR Banjarmasin. While waiting for the time for iftar, the orphans and RR Banjarmasin members recited the holy Quran. At 18:24 WITA, the participants started to iftar, had a photo session, and prayed Maghrib together. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH suggests providing food for the needy in the month of Ramadhan. Thus, RR Banjarmasin set some of their money aside to iftar with the orphans. May the event inspire the VDMI family to share with others
