Saturday, February 7, 2026, VDMI RR Medan held an online information session on the VDMI Scholarship “VDMI NextGen 2026: Beyond Borders, Beyond Limits” via Zoom Meeting. The event was open to the public, with a total of 330 registrants from various universities. This information session aimed to provide comprehensive, valid, and structured information about the Van Deventer–Maas Indonesia (VDMI) Scholarship, especially for applicants for the 2026/2027 period. It began with an opening and welcome speech, followed by a presentation of material delivered by VDMI alumni and Pengurus VDMI RR Medan. The materials covered included the history of VDMI, the rights and obligations of scholarship recipients, the benefits of the scholarship, and a detailed explanation of the application process and procedures. The presenters also emphasized the importance of commitment, integrity, and personal readiness as part of the selection process and life as VDMI grantees.

The enthusiasm of the participants was evident from their active participation in the question and answer session, where various questions were asked regarding the requirements, selection stages, and experiences as scholarship recipients. To maintain interactivity, the committee also held a short game session. Overall, the socialization activity ran smoothly and in line with its main objective, which was to provide clear understanding and motivate prospective applicants to prepare themselves thoroughly and responsibly for the VDMI Scholarship selection process. The high number of applicants and the ongoing discussions through the WhatsApp group indicate that this activity was very well received and had a positive impact on the applicants.
