Kupang – The Regional Representative of Kupang held an Drama Competetion on 12th March 2013. Taking a Drama Competition brings out the capabilitiesand skills of alumni and alumni candidates, strengthen the relationship between alumni and alumni candidates among universities, Build team work andincrease the creativity of alumni and alumni candidates.
Attended by 32 participants consisted of 3 PICs, 23 candidates alumni and 6 alumni from Universitas Kristen Artha Wacana Kupang (UKAW), Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA), Universitas Widya Mandira Kupang(UNWIRA) and STIKOM Uyelindo.
The event officially opened with a prayer by Mr. Theo Suban. Then, opening speech by the Chairman of RR Kupang, Ms. Noy, to begin the Drama Competition officially. Participants of this activity is a VDMS grantee of UNWIKA, UKAW and STIKOM. The judges are Mr. Umbu Dawa, Mr. Frans Wayan and Theo Suban.
Before performance drama, we held a lottery withdrawal to define participants who will appear first, guided by Serly Anawoli as the host. Based on the results of the lottery, participants who performed the first is VDMS Grantees of UKAW, second is STIKOM and the last is UNWIRA.
The topic is “Let’s take the make valuable networks, get inspired, gain knowledge, improve skills, and grab the future”. The theme is Learn, share and encourage.
The participants of UKAW performed drama with the title “50 Meter Indonesiaku”. Talk about poverty, malnutrition, corruption, and weak education in Indonesia. As well as the commitment of the students to change these things, because they are not the ruler in this nation but they felt that “We are the agents of change”.
The participants of STIKOM performed drama with title “Ole-ole dari Netherland”. Talking about student achievement who has trouble in finance in their college. But with help of friends who have received scholarships from VDMS, they promote VDMS scholarship to friends who is excel but less capable, and many enrolls and passed successfully the selection to receive the scholarship.
Participants of UNWIRA performed drama with title “My Second Parents”. The story tells about a student who has financial problem, it was the same with participants from STIKOM. However, they also talk about how they use VDMS scholarships they receive the best possible college by purchasing purposes.

After performances the drama continued with the a discussion and sharing session. In this session, alumni asked the grantess to equally promoting scholarship VDMS has been opened in general. These scholarships got a positive response from the new students because many new students who wish to apply for this scholarship. In addition, RR Kupang also invited alumni recently completed finished college to register in MAS VDMS, as well as invite others friends to update the data in the MAS. In the final discussion session, the alumni and grantees be motivated of the three PICs, and they are expecting that this activity does not stop here only.
The event was followed by the announcement of the winner after lunch. First prize is a participant of the UNWIRA with a total score is 258.75, second prize is a participant of the UKAW with a total score of 249 and was STIKOM last champion with a score of 243. Before the photo session was held, door prizes were delivered for all participants and every participant got a souvenir. Closing by the Chairperson and end with a closing prayer by Mr. Umbu Dawa.
