On April 9th, 2020, VDMI Grantees from Pattimura University and Indonesia Christian University of Maluku distributed donations to fire victims in Ongkoliong, Batu Merah Village, Sirimau, Ambon. The fire occurred on March 29th, 2020 resulted damaged in 73 houses of 82 families. There were 630 people were injured and 2 people died. VDMI Ambon opened the donation for around 10 days. VDMI Ambon and Maluku Peduli volunteers collaborated in collecting and distributing the donation. The total donation was Rp. 4,833,000. The money was used to buy 73 gallons of water. Besides, there were also 5 boxes of wearable clothes. All donations were submitted to the disaster management post.
