Heavy flood struk Central Kalimantan on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021. The flood was caused by overloading water of the Katingan River after a highly intense rain. Responding to that, VDMI Regional Representative (RR) Banjarmasin initiated a fundraiser to help the flood victims. Eight members of RR Banjarmasin along with Peran Mahasiswa HIMA Universitas Lambung Mangkurat started the fundraising at universities in the City of Banjarmasin on September 10th, 2021 from 15.00 WITA to 17.30 WITA.

With adhering to the health protocol, RR Banjarmasin enthusiastically collected the donation and managed to collect IDR 1.800.000 rupiahs. The donations were distributed to the victims through a Non Government Organization, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT). Hopefully, the donation can ease the burden of the victims and inspire others to also help.
