Weekly Activities RR Kupang with Children in Taman Baca Oesapa. Doc: RR Kupang

23 September 2023, Regional Representative (RR) Kupang held its first post-covid activity at Taman Baca Oesapa. Children learn to read and write basic English. Starting with prayer, then RR Kupang alumni and grantees introduced themselves to the children at Taman Baca Oesapa. A total of 17 children attended, each of whom took a reading test to find out the obstacles and what solutions would be provided. From the test results, the children were grouped into three groups with different treatments. The first group is children who cannot read yet, so they start by introducing letters. The second group is children who can read and write. The third group is junior high school (Junior High School) level children with basic English material. Guidance is provided for each group so that it is right on target and has an impact on the children. Apart from that, RR Kupang also collected data on inventory of books and teaching aids provided by Van Deventer-Maas Indonesia. The activity closed with prayer and the children returned to their homes. See you at the next meeting.
