Friday, March 26 Regional Representative (RR) Makassar watched and discussed two short movies with the 16 residents of LKSA Assyifa Makassar. Indonesian movie directors directed the two movies. The titles are ‘Say Hello to Yellow’ and ‘Impianku’. The Say Hello to Yellow movie tells about the current generation who are addicted to gadgets. The Impianku movie tells about three children who pursue their dreams. The event was held with adherence to the health protocol during the pandemic.

Movie time with RR Makassar and Residents of LKSA Assyifa

The event aimed to encourage the children to build their social relations with peers through face-to-face interaction (not via gadget). Also, the RR Makassar team intends to motivate the children in the Assyifa orphanage to never give up on pursuing their dreams regardless of life adversities. After watching the movies, the children were asked to retell the movies’ stories. One of the children expressed that the movies inspire them to pursue their dreams. Children who bravely expressed their opinion received appreciation from the RR Makassar team.
