Saturday, September 6, 2025, the Regional Representative (RR) of Medan held a “Welcoming New Grantees” event at Pandopo Lapangan Serbaguna Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED). This event serves as a welcome for new grantees, providing an understanding of VDMI and its activities, and introducing the VDMI RR Medan 2025/2026 executive board. It is hoped that new grantees will understand their obligations and rights as grantees, get to know fellow VDMI Family members in Medan, and contribute to RR Medan activities.

The event was attended by 38 participants, including alumni, grantees, and PICs. The event was hosted by Innes Situmorang and Sandriano Calfiano Hutabarat. It began with a prayer by Grace Hotnida Eva, followed by remarks from UNIMED PIC Mr. Akmal, remarks on behalf of the alumni by Ronaldi Simanjuntak, and remarks by Yani Tarigan as the chairperson of RR Medan.

Next was a socialization activity by Maria Ayuni Isabella Manullang about the rights and obligations of VDMI grantees, followed by a sharing session on Writing Workshop by Tiodame Layupa Simanullang and finally on Citizenship Workshop by Desman Hura. During the socialization, an ice breaking session was held. The session ended with the introduction of the VDMI RR Medan executive board.

During this event, the winners of the Independence Day Celebration Competition were announced. This was followed by group games with various types of competitions. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and a group photo. Thank you, RR Medan. We look forward to the next event.
