Saturday, June 3 2023, Regional Representative (RR) Medan held a Welcoming New Grantee. This activity aims to welcome new grantees (University of Sumatera Utara and Medan State University) as well as provide information about VDMI and RR Medan. The theme of the activity ” Grow Up, Glow Up, Proud to be Part of VDMI ” aims to enable new grantees to grow, develop their own potential and have an impact on the VDMI Family. Besides that, they will be proud to be part of VDMI and be active in every VDMI Capacity Building.

Attended by 47 participants and guided by Bobby Setiawan (alumnus USU). Mrs. Sara Hikmayanti (PIC UNIMED) and Nopri Sinaga (alumna UNIMED) gave remarks and encouraged new grantees to be enthusiastic about each activity. The event continued with an introduction of VDMI (grantee’s rights and obligations) and activities at RR Medan. Furthermore, Febriani Putri Keren Goni (UNIMED grantee) shared her experiences with activities she participated in as a VDMI grantee and a question and answer session.

The activity was continued with a zoom breakout room aimed at increasing the closeness between grantees and alumni as a family. At the end, RR Medan prepares for the Quiz. It is hoped that this activity will be the beginning of togetherness and cohesiveness of RR Medan so that they can carry out various activities for others.
