Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 08.00 – 12.00 WIB, the Regional Representative (RR) of Padang visited the Aisyiyah Orphanage. This activity aims to share happiness with the orphanage children while motivating them to remain enthusiastic in achieving their dreams. Attended by 35 grantees and 14 orphanage children, this activity became a forum for sharing stories between grantees and orphanage children.
Welcoming Speech from Ms. Emi (Aisyiyah Orphanage Administrator)
Starting with a speech from the orphanage administrator – Mrs. Emi Susanti – and continued with a speech from the representative of the VDMI RR Padang grantees. The activity continued with morning exercise together. Sharing was delivered by Nadifah Thufailah (Andalas University grantee) about achieving dreams. The children were motivated to continue their education to the next level. After that, it was continued with a question and answer session about dreams. One of the orphanage children asked “How do we get rid of doubts in ourselves to achieve our dreams?”. This question was answered by Nafidah “Everyone can do something and pursue their dreams. Keep trying and praying. If others can, then we can too”.

Next, there are games prepared to build togetherness among the orphanage children and grantees. Enthusiasm can be seen from the joy with laughter and smiles during the games. The activity was closed by giving prizes to the winners and donating some necessities for the orphanage children such as books, study tables, basic necessities and electronic devices. This donation can be used for daily needs and learning. Thank you to all RR Padang grantees who have contributed to this activity, it is hoped that they will return to participate in the next activity.
