“I want the members of the regional alumni branches to stick together – not just in my region, but everywhere” – Masagus

2013 was a great year, all the Regional Representatives (RRs) gave their best to make inspiring events: environment care, charity program, and workshop/seminar. Some of RRs held more than three activities, some two activities, and some only one activity.

As a sharing idea of Masagus, you can see the flow chart below to make it easier for you to step ahead:

  1. Find subjects in a group.
  2. Select idea from the members in a group.
  3. Work out the idea with a group
  4. Assess commitment by Chairperson.
If the board (Secretary, Treasurer and Public Relation) of RR Bandung-Jabodetabek  is not committed, it will be replaced. This is a chairperson’s task. The chairperson observes the member and determines whether he/she can or cannot be responsible for his/her tasks.
  5. Start Execution
  6. Guard Commitment
  7. Run and Finish

How can we get the good idea when we are in “Select Idea”?

“Select Idea” is in a group session. This session needs an initiator, the one who has the idea.
How to Guard the commitment? Who’s responsible for it?
The chairperson should regularly call and send  message to the Regional Representatives, asking for the progress. Using online meeting and face-to-face meeting. The meeting is to be held once a month. When the idea is executed into an event, the coordination should be held once in a week.

How is the result?

You may evaluate the result after the event. How many Regional Alumni members were involved? How many participants attended the event? And how was the response from participants? Sometimes a questionnaire is necessary to be provided

Note: the event is a success if attended by more than 85% of the invited participants

What are critical success factors?

The Critical Success Factors are: GOOD IDEA, COMMITMENT, and GOOD LEADER.
