Indonesia has many cultural diversities. One is in West Sumatra. Speaking about West Sumatra is a never ending story. Starting from the famous Padang cuisine to abundant local culture and natural resources. Both in terms of traditional mu- sic and traditional dances.
One of traditional dances of West Sumatra is called Tari Pasambahan. This dance is a form of a welcome greeting and an expression of respect for the guests coming. Tari Pasambahan is usually performed when welcoming guests on special occasions. Also at the time of arrival of the groom to the bride’s house.
