Saturday – July 12, 2025 – grantees of Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) together with the PIC held a Gathering activity aimed at strengthening friendship, getting to know fellow grantees and fostering a spirit of collaboration in self-development. It started at 09.30 WIB with remarks from the PIC of UII – Latifatul Laili, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist – who hoped that grantees could build a solid community and support each other. In addition, she also conveyed information about the services available at the Directorate of Student Affairs of UII so that grantees can utilize and maximize these services.

The session continued with introductions between grantees and sharing short stories about their struggles in applying for the VDMI scholarship. Inspiring stories build emotional bonds and mutual understanding. The fun was further enhanced by interactive games that brought laughter and cohesiveness. This was followed by “tukar kado” and closed with lunch together. Hopefully with this activity, UII grantees will not get to know each other but rather build a spirit to continue to develop and contribute, in line with VDMI’s vision: “Membangun Talenta Anak Muda yang Mandiri”.
