Sunday, February 1, 2026, RR Makassar held its second visit to the Assyifa Orphanage on Jl. Kampung Kajang, Tamangapa, Manggala District, Makassar. Themed “Write Your Story and Share Your Writing,” the event at Rahmatan Lil Alimin Mosque was warmly attended by the children of the orphanage and RR Makassar (alumni and grantees). The event opened with a welcome speech by the orphanage administrator, Nurlia Lipsa, followed by introductions.

The team distributed paper and pens, encouraging the children to complete the sentence “Today I feel… because…” for 10 minutes. Following this, Hikmah shared insights on descriptive writing along with examples. The children enthusiastically analyzed four images displayed and described one of them in writing. Several writings were read aloud and amazed for their creativity.

The storytelling session involved the first 10 children reading their work fluently, despite being shy at first. This was followed by a question and answer session with five children and singing together with five children. As a token of appreciation, RR Makassar gave gifts to the children. The event closed with the distribution of snacks and a group photo.
