Reported by Maria Daiman and Framinus Deade Larisano, alumni Nusa Cendana University

5 Oktober 2023, Even though the temperature that afternoon was very hot, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the alumni and grantees to share their knowledge with the children at Taman Baca. The activities were divided into small groups based on their interests. There were four groups consisting of reading, arithmetic, writing and English learning groups. Before the activity begins, children are taught to always wash their hands and feet so that they care about body cleanliness. The children at Taman Baca were very enthusiastic because the groups were based on their interests so they felt happy, comfortable and enjoyed the afternoon session. During class, they were very active in asking questions about things they have just learned. Such as new English vocabularies, multiplication tricks using fingers, color theory, and so on.

Two hours later, the session ended. Before we went home, we reflected with the children regarding the things they learned that day and not to forget to give them motivation to always develop their curiosity through learning and also care about the environment around them. After that, we prayed together and then went home.
