On Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, RR Makassar continues their social projects at Assyifa Orphanage, Tamangapa RT 04 RW 04, Manggala, Makassar, South Sulawesi. They conducted two types of activities. First, they teach the orphanage residents to grow veggies. In this initial meeting, they plant water spinach. Besides, they taught English to the residents. Those who are now in elementary school level learned the alphabet in English. They sang the ‘ABC’ song enthusiastically. Meanwhile, those who are in junior high school level learned to use ‘to be, to have, and the possessive pronoun’. For senior high school level residents, they learn to create ‘recount text’. They wrote about their past experience in English. RR Makassar members also learned much from this social project. For instance, they learn how to communicate with children and teenagers as well as how to teach in a fun and effective ways.
