RR Medan keeps continuing usually teaching every Saturday on 5th, 12th, and 26th and we began teach like usual. In special day on 19th August to celebrate the Independence Day went 17th August, we made some competition at Mamiyai Orphanage, such as tug of war (tarik tambang), marble and spoon race (lomba memindahkan kelereng dengan sendok), sack race (lomba balap karung), craker eating contest (lomba makan kerupuk), and dancing contest.
The children were serious during learning process
Children enjoyed the competition that we made. They were also being sportive in all competitions. There were 20 children who participated in this competition. And for dancing contest was followed by 10 children which divided by two groups. One group showed modern dancing from India, and the other showed Indonesia’s traditional dancing from Pak-Pak Dairi. In the end of the competition, we gave some prize to the winners to entertain them. The Grantee who participated in this activity were May Nelsa Putri, Ester br Ginting and Rizka Amelia from USU, and Triana Permatasari from out of VDMS.
