Saturday, February 16 2019. RR Yogyakarta held a Meet-up to discuss the plan of RR Yogyakarta activitiy namely “Paper for Jogja”. The meet-up is located at MK Cafe Jl. C. Simanjuntak No. 70, Terban, Gondokusuman, Yogyakarta. Discussion begins at 15.00 WIB and ends at 16.30 WIB. It is attended by 5 people, consisting of 2 alumni, and 3 grantees from UGM.
The background of this activity is Yogyakarta as a city of Education which has many universities, both private and public, is tended to have many revised papers, lab reports, and other papers from their students. Therefore, we want to collect these papers from students in Yogyakarta to be donated or donated for social projects. The donations collected will be distributed to orphanages or scholarships for children in Gunung Kidul.
As a preliminary experiment, the plan will be held for 2 months (March-May 2019). Some things that will be done during this period, namely: preparing posters for online and offline activities, asking permission from the Head of Department and Laboratory Staff to take used paper reports in the laboratory, carrying out paper-taking activities to the address of paper donors, and cooperating with some of the favorite cafés student as a paper drop point place.
